The time is drawing ever nearer. Every Liverpool fan has been dreading the day. Luis Suarez, the talisman of Liverpool’s title push last season, is about to make his La Liga debut in possibly the biggest game of his career – El Clasico.
As we all know, Suarez was banned by for taking a nibble at Georgio Chiellini at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, and was subsequently banned from all football related activity, including playing FIFA 14 and training for four months. What followed was Liverpool getting rid of him to Barcelona for a whopping £75,000,000 (though transfer talks had been going on before the Chiellini Chomp). Luis Suarez himself thought he had jeopardised his dream move from childhood with his third bite of his career (that we know of) but Per Guardiola confirmed not long after that the deal had gone through.

Luis Suárez provides magic and goals. One of the biggest stars on the global football stage is coming to the Camp Nou having just scored 31 goals to top the scoring charts in the Premier League and tie for the 2013/14 Golden Boot with Cristiano Ronaldo. ~FC Barcelona Website

The biggest question isn’t whether or not he’ll start for Barcelona, but whether or not Barcelona actually need him? Barcelona sit 3 points clear at the top of La Liga having not lost a game yet and scoring 22 goals whilst conceded zero in the process. Neymar Junior has 8 league goals to his name, with Lionel Messi on 7…
I’m sure we’ll find out soon enough!
