In a shocking turn up, it appears that John Terry, Chelsea Captain, was caught on camera attempting to purposely injure a Chelsea mascot before the Burnley v Chelsea game last night at Turf Moor*.
In the Vine below, you can see the Chelsea mascot, in probably the proudest day of his life, being escorted out by John Terry onto the pitch, and in a cynical challenge by John Terry, which would have at least earned the Chelsea captain a yellow, if not a red card on the field of play, he pushes the mascot into the tunnel.
Fortunately for John Terry, he did it behind the referee’s back so did not see it, and the shocking incident did not appear in any of the match reports afterwards and he is unlikely to face any further punishment via the FA.

* and for those that haven’t realised this post is filed in “satire” – I realise it’s an accident and I’m joking.
