1. Juan Mata is too good a player to be a squad member. That our tactics doesn’t need his full engagements doesn’t mean his a lesser player whatsoever.
2. Selling him to Manchester United FC wouldn’t automatically re-invigorate the misshapen squad. The profit off him would help Chelsea FC FFP drive and may see the club post a profit this season.
3. Juan Mata to Manchester United FC may soften Ed Woodward’s stand on Wayne Rooney to Chelsea FC. With Rooney, the Chelsea FC 1st team squad would appear complete. Can’t say same for Manchester United FC.
4. Jose’s imprint of what he wants his Chelsea FC team to be and play like is becoming more evident. Sadly, that doesn’t match Juan Mata’s natural playing style.
5. Chelsea FC had sold great players before to direct & indirect rivals. Never had such transfer deals hurt the team’s ambitions. Juan Mata hasn’t won Chelsea FC a BPL title yet, Wayne Rooney is better poised to help Chelsea FC do so, come May.
6. Juan Mata free roaming play is his best playing position. Now, in Chelsea FC under Jose; Jose can only allow Hazard that due to his dribbling skill set. Allowing more than one player do that opens Chelsea FC up which would hamper their without-the-ball organisation. Jose doesn’t want that.
7. There’s absolutely nothing wrong selling a ‘best’ player. Chelsea FC had bought teams’ best players before; selling theirs at a profit is no big deal.
8. Chelsea FC is a business first before many others. Many fans don’t want to hear that, but its true. Juan Mata seems now, an excess asset, simple accounting demands Chelsea FC cash in. £40m would do the books good.
9. Manchester United FC isn’t Chelsea FC direct rivals. Their games versus each other may garner world-wide attention and viewership, but as per dis season, they are better poised as Liverpool FC rivals.
10. If Juan Mata deal brings Wayne Rooney across…say hello to the Chelsea FC BPL’s domination from hence-forth!
