With AC Milan cruising to a five three victory over Parma, Mattia De Sciglio thought it best, rather than put his team in jeopardy with a wayward pass that may end up with a Parma attack, he’d pass it back to his goalkeeper…
The own goal was scored by Mattia De Sciglio, and I imagine he wasn’t too impressed with Diego Lopez who went down after this goal went in and rolled around as though he’d broken his leg, arm and fourteen of his ten toes.
AC Milan went on to win the game 5 – 4 with both teams having players sent off during the game.
Giacomo Bonaventura put Milan in front on 25 minutes before Antonio Cassano equalised two minutes later. Keisuke Honda made it two one to the visitors before Jeremy Menez made it 1 – 3 from the penalty spot. Felipe then scored for the home side before Nigel De Jong restored the two goal lead for the visitors. The game wasn’t finished there as Alessandro Lucarelli snatched one back for Parma before the lovely back heeled goal by Jeremy Menez sealed Parma’s fate – but not before an own goal by Mattia De Sciglio in the 89th minute gave the visiting fans something to think about in the last few minutes.
