Alberto Moreno scored his first goal for Liverpool FC against Tottenham on Sunday. He nicked the ball in his own half, ran the rest of the length of the pitch and unleashed a beast of a shot into the bottom right hand corner of the Spurs net to make it 3 – 0 to Liverpool on the day.
Other goals in the game came from Raheem Sterling on 8 minutes and Steven Gerrard from the penalty spot on 49 minutes after a first half of wayward passing and looking absolutely shattered.
After being at fault for one of the goals conceded against Manchester City in the previous game, Alberto Moreno looked far more confident and competent in this game. Whether it was more to do with the calibre of opponent, or more to do with his confidence and fitness remains to be seen, but as a Liverpool fan, I personally am delighted with his signing and it looks like we have a decent prospect as a left-back!
