Football transfer rumours are the staple diet of every football fan during the close season. People seem to be making lots of money via twitter and websites by making this shit up. I reckon some even use this to generate rumours.
Here I’ll keep you up to date with all the bollocks so you don’t have to look around.
The Daily Mirror claim that Chelsea will use David Luiz as bait to get Mario Mandzukic from Chelsea whilst Everton join the race with Newcastle to sign Andros Townsend from Tottenham. With Lukaku purportedly going back to Chelsea, Everton are also showing an interest in Wilfried Boney from Swansea. Mark Hughes is interested in boosting up his midfield options at Stoke City with a cheeky £0 bid for Steve Sidwell. Finally, Tim “Salute” Sherwood could be off to manage Brighton. Unlucky Brighton fans.
Louis van Gaal has been busy writing down a who’s who of top European talent for Ed Woodward to “aquire” whilst he’s seeing Holland to the World Cup finals. Players mooted to be on this list include Thomas Muller, Mats Hummels, Luke Shaw, Toni Kroos and Arjen Robben.
Manchester City are showing an interest in getting Bacary Sagna from their feeder club Arsenal, whilst also considering grabbing hold of Mehdi Benatia from Roma. Saido Berahino could see himself moving further up the country with a move to Newcastle being mooted. Liverpool are going to go for Alberto Moreno with Tottenham scounts following shortly behind (that last bit is made up).
Arsenal are after ex Chelsea winger, now at Lille winger, Salomon Kalou. Liverpool are also sniffing round and showing an interest. Meanwhile Leicester City, with their £180,000,000 budget, are looking to grab Nick Powell from Manchester United.
Cheikhou Kouyate, who Arsenal enquired about inthe last transfer window, is still on Arsenals radar.
