Over in Brazil, the place the media will be digging up every bit of info and juicy nugget of information for due to the impending World Cup, a riot broke out in a beutral stadium between fans of Atletico Paranaese and Vasco Da Gama.
Its not the first time these fans have had violent clashes, hence the game being played in a neutral ground, and it only took around 10 minutes before the violence kicked off. Bizarelly, police were initially not allowed in the stadium due to a state law which doesn’t allow the local police force to provide security at private events.
The game was abandoned for an hour or so, but resumed with Atletico coming out 5 – 1 winners.
If you wish to see some images of the violence, globoesporte has them – warning though, some aren’t pretty.
