With the Confederations Cup in full swing now, and every team having each played a game, you should have had a chance to monitor the teams, the scores and given yourself an idea of who will win what, concede what and more importantly, which team will go on to win the tournament, so maybe now is the time to capitalise on a bet or two at FREEbets.org.uk with the second batch of games coming up.
Once these games are played, we will also give a clearer view of who will potentially reach the semi finals and ultimately, go on to be crowned champions for 2013.
Brazil, of course, are looking their usual strong selves and Spain are looking like, even if all their team was stricken down with flu, they’d still go on to win at a canter – those pesky World Cup and European Championship winners! To me, there seems no dark horses that could do a Greece – but you never know!
Talk of the tournament so far though is the fact that Tahiti managed to score a goal in their first major championship. Eddy Etaeta was quoted as saying “I was deeply moved. Almost crying.”
And no – not because they shipped in 6 goals 🙂
Jonathan Tehau, who not only scored the goal, but also scored an own goal at the other end (meaning he is the first man ever to score at both ends in the Confederations Cup) was joined by a few other members of his family in the team with his brother playing up front and a couple of other members of his family warming the bench.
At 138 in the FIFA rankings, I imagine that little Tahiti could give jolly brave old England a run for their money in a friendly!
