Its Red Nose Day. Or “Comic Relief” as its known (because comics relieve themselves of the shit jokes they’ve had stored up for the past year). Of course, its a great way to raise money for charity and make people like me – who has very little money, feel like shit when they start showing pictures of starving African children.
It also puzzles me why they pay to send these high paid celebrities off on trips round the world to sample first hand how bad things are around the globe (and indeed right here in the good old U of K). Multi millionaires. Sums that most of us could only dream of.
Saying that, I imagine some do great work for charity, and I’m probably just bitter because I’ve got £1.43 to last me until pay day, which falls on the 28th of this month. And I have two children. Living on the breadline isn’t fun in the slightest – I can’t, nor do I want to imagine what its like to live in poverty.
Where’s our Comic Relief?
Oh, we already have it. Its called the “government”.
Thanks for visiting FeintZebra.
